 T-shirt is one of the main clothing worn in most societies all around the world. Even those cultures which have there own predominant clothing styles have preferred wearing t-shirts for their easiness. T-shirts have become one of the easiest ways of lifestyle as it can be worn with any kind of accessories or be paired with any other clothing.
T-shirts wear first introduced during the First World War by European soldiers who used to wear it in warm days. Later American soldiers too added in to their uniform. T-shirts have a long history in western civilization but the word T-shirt got its entry into the Merriam-Webster's Dictionary only in 1920's.
Later in 1950 T-shirts become one of the hot brands to be used by Hollywood stars like James Dean and Marlon Brandon. The use of T-shirts by movie actors made it much popular among the American people and it gained its popularity overnight. By the end of 1960 T-shirts had become a common view of every wardrobe as it was easy to use and inexpensive to buy.
Even today, t-shirts are popular among the youth and it has become an easy way to express once attitude. In most part of the world people now prefer to use T-shirts in casual gatherings. Traditional brands that were only popular for high end suiting are now also engaged in producing quality t-shirts. In today's world t-shirts are not only simple clothing but an icon of personality. |
